Game Mechanics

Things are progressing well here. We have the combat resolution and task resolution mechanics laid out and the skill system is in production. By the end of the week we should have the basic character templates underway and a rough draft of the Terran Confederation ranking structure framed up. We are working on both the skill and attribute advancement mechanics but we want the main focus of the game to be on in story character advancement, not just mindless level grinding. We have tons of content on the history of the Terran Confederation and it's various organizations but we are focusing on the various mechanics to get them working together before we do anything else.

Product Developement

Our first product is a modified percentile based sci-fi rpg. Star Reach is set in the year 2287. The overcrowding problem of the previous century is no more. We have established our place in the galaxy and now inhabit thirty star systems. The age old question of weather we are alone has been answered and that answer is a resounding no. First contact didn't come as we had always hoped it would, peacefully, but with the loss of an entire colony of researchers and soldiers studying the abandoned outpost of a technologically more advanced race.
Not all extraterrestrial species were so hostile though. Still reeling from the loss of the Pance 3 research colony we were contacted six months later by a representative from an interstellar organization calling itself the Federation of Settled Planets, FSP for short. After much internal debate we accepted membership in this federation. That was a century ago. Now we are a full and productive member of the FSP and the galaxy is wide open to us.
